Essential Oils in Massage Therapy

Essential oils are offered as standard in every massage for my clients.

Most people use the the term 'Aromatherapy Massage' to describe the combination of essential oils and massage therapy but I believe due to essential oils' amazing power to support the healing process, they should be incorporated into every treatment/therapy wherever possible.

I started using essential oils within my massage therapy treatments five years ago and witnessed the benefits it made to my clients, almost immediately.

A lot of the benefits of essential oils are well documented but here are some of the main ones that I received in the feedback from clients.

Improved sleep

Improved energy

Improved cognition

Eliminated/Reduced muscle soreness

Eliminated/reduced headache and migraine

Softer skin

Improved mood

Embracing natural therapies is always a good thing and it seems essential oils are showing up everywhere, but there is little regulation over them and the term "essential oil" can mean anything under the wide umbrella of this terminology. This is why it's always important to ensure a high quality essential oil is used to to deliver the most therapeutic benefit. The oils used in my treatments are certified organic and steam distilled guaranteeing excellent quality and potency.
